An eye-captivating painter
Trompe-l'œil painting ? But who are we deceiving ?
Namely those who have a distorted idea of painting. The
so-called trompe-l'oeil painters have such an exercised,
precise and faithful eye which portrays reality with such
a passion that I refer to them as eye-captivating painters.
Whilst so many lazy, slapdash painters flounder in paintings
which can only be said to repel the eye !
Eye-captivating painters - passionate
about the truth, mystical preachers of reality, true princes
of the paintbrush and, at the same time, its real democrats
for whom all subjects are equal, noble, who transfigure
everything their eye sees and for whom a sieve, a coffee
mill, a coffee pot, every last detail of which is adored,
constitute the monstrance of a veritable passion.
